Here I want to share with you the treasures around us that we ignore or that we are ignorant of their existence in our lives. They are but not limited to the following:

* **Relationships:** Many trivialize the relationships in their lives.  They don’t believe that something good can come out of those relationships.  It has been proven that a man is likely going to remain as he is five years from now except for two things; the books he reads and the company of people he keeps. Emphasis is placed on people because there is an atmosphere of smell around everyone. To some it is an odor while to some it is a fragrance. Overtime we will smell like the company we have chosen to keep. It is very easy to meet the president of your nation; all you need to do is to know someone who is close to the president. That can only be possible by maintaining a good relationship.

* **Opportunities:** Opportunities abound everywhere. The more you look, the more you see. The truth is, opportunities are always in transit. It is very important to grab them whenever they gravitate towards your direction. There is also the need to be strategically positioned to take advantage of these opportunities. While many run after the ball in the air, a wise footballer will run and wait for the ball where it is going to land. This is called strategic positioning. 

* **Platforms:** God will not come down to showcase you to the entire world rather, you will be placed on a platform to prove yourself and what you are made of. How you make use of those platforms you found yourself will determine your outcome in life. So many people have abused their platforms due to ignorance or lack of wisdom on how to behave on those platforms. Some have mistaken a bus stop for an end stop thinking that they have arrived.

* **Giftings:** No one is born empty. We are all containers with different and various contents. Many overlook this great treasures that God has deposited in them and never bother to make use of them. You are not meant to keep or bury your gift or talent, You are meant to use them. Whether you like it or not, a man's gift if discovered and used will surely make a way for him.

In order to maximize the moment, the following are highly essential:

**Maintain a ready mind**
Be open to the possibilities around you. Don’t let preconceived notions cloud your judgement. We often overlook the values of something because we believe we already know it.

**Look at the familiar in a new way**
Conwell lists some important inventions – the snap-button, the cotton gin, the mowing machine – and notes that these were crated by everyday people who found new approaches and new uses for commonplace objects.

**Learn what people want, then give it to them**
Discover a market, and then provide a good or a service. Too many people do this the other way around. They develop a good or a service and then try to market it, try to manufacture desire. You’ll have more success if you see a desire and then try to meet it.

**Knowledge is more important than capital**
Lack of capital is a common excuse for not starting a business venture. How often have you heard, “You need money to make money.” Yet, we see several wealthy people who started with nothing but an idea.

**Don’t put yourself down, and don’t belittle your environment**
Don’t compare yourself with others. “Believe in the great opportunities that are right here not elsewhere in another location, but here – for business, for everything that is worth living for on earth. There was never an opportunity greater. Find the best in what is around you.
