I assumed that people knew that clean air, clean water and clean soil are essential for a healthy life.

I was wrong.

I have assumed that people would know that peace, love, unity and respect are prerequisites for a happy life.

I was wrong.

I assumed that humans know that erring is human.

I wasn't wrong.

What I actually don't understand and maybe never will (and what I think everyone else knows) is:
Why do humans not change their behaviour immediately if they know that they are erring?
