Moby Dick is not only a fabled white whaIe of tales told through the decades... It's now come to life in a highly potent Sativa dominant herb with a lineage comprised of White Widow and Haze genetics bred by [Dinafem Seeds](https://www.dinafem.org). While it's known that White Widow is an Indica dominant hybrid strain it seems that the purist Sativa genetics of the Haze really shine through on the batch I managed to procure.

I was fortunate enough to land an eighth (3.5 grams) of this wonderful bud from an online dispensary based out of BC, Canada. Details of how to get onto the site I ordered it from won't be shared publicly to maintain good [opsec](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operations_security) for both the dispensary and myself. However if you ask me reaaaally nicely (and don't live in USA, Norway or Sweden, they don't ship there) via PM on [steemit.chat](https://steemit.chat/channel/klye) I can likely hook you up with a referral. 

<center><h1>The  Nose</h1></center>

Upon opening the bag I was greeted with a pungent whiff of what I would describe as a creamy citrus smoothie coupled with a sweet vanilla breeze and some earthy herb smell I can't exactly put my nose on. When handled the buds exploded with even more aroma. Needless to say but this is not herb you want to have in your pocket around people who look down on it / law enforcement.

When ground up the smell was amazing. I can't wait until we can send smells over the internet..

None of the buds were overly large in the bag, perhaps due to the small amount I ordered to sample it. The outside of the buds were decently laden with crystals and the person who did the manicure job on the herb must have been a seasoned professional. It's not until I cracked open a few buds to toss it in the grinder to roll a joint did I notice the immense trichome deposits hidden inside the flower.

My preferred method of trying out new strains of herb is to roll up a joint. Not only does this allow me to properly taste the cannabis but it also allows me to gauge how good / fast the stuff hits me by rolling similar sized joints.

I forgot to weigh the herb I put into this joint but it was enough to do the trick I tell you what! Half way through I was pretty darn "blasted" and debated putting it down.. But in the name of science and seeing what this herb could do I powered through and managed to respectively roach it.

<center><h1>The Effects</h1></center>

Roughly half way through the the Moby Dick joint I felt the foggyness that earlier this mornings home grow had left in its wake. The mental effect of this strain are very similar if not stronger than coffee almost bordering on the stimulation one may find by taking a decent dose of kratom. My mood was highly elevated by time I put the joint out but my focus and productivity remained very high for nearly over an hour before the tell tale munchies and eyelid heaviness of burning out started to hit me. For an everyday smoker like myself to feel focused and not burn out for over for an hour is amazing!

It starts off with incredible burst of energy and focus and finishes off with a nice numb behind the eyes relaxing feeling that still allows you to complete what you need to do. I do however note this strain seemed to absolutely kill my short term memory function for a bit after the focus wears off.
