ETH some hefty waters ahead
So ETH has been on a very nice run in USD terms coming from $80 and making all the way to $350.

However there are some other perspectives to keep in mind.


# Not too hot relative to BTC
I've posted about this before that while just like BTC it wen't up basically 4x, relative it has performed much worse. This is easy to see when looking at where ETH is coming from or where BTC is relative to its ATH.

In the ETHBTC charts we can see how dire it actually looks. BTC has formed a huge and a small descending triangle. This normally is a very bearish sign.

It has also touched the bottom of 5 times. The more often a support is tested the weaker it becomes.

# Some hefty resistance in USD terms

In Dollar terms btc has a very strong resistance band to go through. The area around $400 has always been a very important price for ETH.  It was the first big resistance in the move to its ATH. Now this area becomes resistance.

# The good news

If however ETH breaks the ETHBTC downtrend and make it above $500 there will be very little resistance towards the ATH of $1500 and bmoon beyond that. So while there is extensive risk there is also a huge upside potential.

Do however be careful if it breaks out in either direction and expect hefty reactions either way
