@dtube should upvote content that has more organic comments and that’s one way to increase engagement

that's easy to answer, the #seven77 pushups twitter challenge by @nathanmars is made to attract more users to steemit not for upvoting our posts, the one and the other of our #steemtweets hustlers upvote our posts anyway, so it's a challenge to promote steem.

I agree. This could be one of the major challenges we face on trying to retain the newcomers.

But, before commenting, I do believe the Twitter movement is on the right track. With that much Steem Tweets per hour, it's fascinating to see how it can build the hustle we try to achieve, it's just a matter of time until all the community on Tweeter starts talking aloud about Steem.<hr>

There are two notable things I noticed on the Twitter movement for the newcomers.
1) **More organic welcome**
If someone shares an introduction of newcomers on Twitter, they'll be receiving lots of nice welcome with great votes. This will be a great boost of motivation for them to continue on to post.

This should be continued but the problem maybe we can't reach out to as many newcomers because they might not know about our Twitter initiative or we can't accommodate the numbers of newcomers coming in. Hence, we might miss a couple of good people.

2) I agree with you that the likes/comment received on Twitter doesn't sync with the ones on Steem. Just the same as the number of followers on Twitter doesn't sync with the ones on Steem. But, I don't think we should be focusing on this one at this time. <hr>

Another challenge I think we might face on the Steem promotion is we don't have enough marketing material to take it on Twitter. We, of course, can use our own experience, but I feel we lack formal marketing material. Other crypto communities are using solid facts and figures to showcase their crypto but we don't have that much. For instance, for video marketing material, I'm glad we have a few from the surfermarley contest. How about powerpoint presentation materials?

It's a good step I think viral and interest along with challenge are good but limiting. There should be some challenge such as is done with Bitcoin and Twitter. It should encourage good quality, a buy of steem and posting good quality content.

First off, I am positive on what's happening with  steem and twitter, but I agree with your point @knowhow92. I have been on twitter since 2013 and coached it for about 18 months to authors and artists, so I feel like I know the place.

I'm shocked you are finding tweets with links in them at all. I am finding infinite numbers of push up tweets with no links. They bury the tweets with links right now.

When the push up craze started, I was tagged in a few and look what happened to my engagement over there:

This is because the majority of steemers tweeting push up videos:
- have empty proflies
- no connections outside of steem
- do not retweet
- do not click links
- ONLY post push up videos with no links,  do a lot of likes, and sometimes reply.

None of this is good for engagement.

I have a lot of content creating connections in various niches out there and pretty much dropped most of that action for steem and crypto about 18 months ago. The crypto people not-on-steem are far better at engagement than the steemers.

BUT

We just got a huge flood of new steeming tweeps due to nathan's promises of delegations. Close to 300 new people are there now tweeting (or not). In a few weeks many/most of them will be gone and I see them die off daily. Then we will be left with those who are committed to the idea of promoting steem with twitter. Some of these will be people who will come and support you. They are just hard to find right now in the flurry. 

The number of people who will do something for free for 77 days is very small.

Your issue of not getting comments is somewhat unrelated. If you check your analytics, you will find few link clicks from twitter to see your videos at all. The engagement on your posts needs to come from steem, dtube and the people here who like x-sports. You have to go through all the engagement tricks here to get that. It is not coming organically from twitter as you have seen. 

Notice nathan wants nothing to do with your issue and has no vote if he wanted to help in any case. He's announced he is "not on steem" for somewhere near 77 days with some plan he's got going. 

But he is flexible and wants to help. He was doing 7 minute videos and Thank God that's over. 

dtube might be a good help with voting but (though I do not post vidoes) I hear there are issues with curation with them. We have other dtube groups here just for that reason.
