Here in italy we have similar "bridges" connecting houses and they are very old (Reinassence period, I suppose).

This is  the corridor in which Germany is repatriating it's gold , and the people carrying the gold bars must leap over hurdles ever 10 feet, which is why it will take 7 years.

Is a Passage where people used to smuggle food and cigarettes between West and East Berlin.
Because I saw some graffiti and it can't be a Hospital and connecting two Wings that's for sure!

@knozaki2015 its a corrridor where train connects berlin to antartica or maybe mars :P

So they added an elevator on the other side because there was not space on the other side!!!

Maybe it is only a connection from building to another building to enlarge it, because there were not enough space for the whole building concept? I never saw this building in Berlin. ^^ Can you say where it is? I don´t think it is an hospital, or an old corridor between west and east berlin to smuggle food and cigarettes.

This is a Passage where people used to exchange money, now they don't have to go there again because of the crypto currency! Viva la Crypto!

Did some searching, a civil engineering structure website lists it's name as: Hochbahnbrücke Dennewitzstraße and describes it as a Tramway, light or metro rail bridge.

To me, it looks very much like the passages they have between a jail and a courthouse to bring inmates back and forth for their court dates.

Das ist eine Metrobrücke, zumindest Reste davon. Die Stahlträger wurden einfach eingemauert.

So massiv  und hoch wie die Brücke gebaut ist, würde ich auf eine Hochbahn oder eine hochgelegte Straße tippen.

Where now the road is, once was a river. This river dried up while the sovjets where exploiting east berlin. The bridge is a reminder of these hard times. The river bed now flows cars, not water. 
Also is Germany often struck by sudden floods these times. The street is below a certain level and the bridge makes sure that in case of floodings there is a way to pass the "river".

I can challenge that, there is a bridged building in a village nearby which is even weirder, given its supposed purpose. I can be there next week maybe to take a picture and make post.
