About the tags. It was a suggestion by @thefuture who runs a contest called originaltags. I've been doing it slowly as a way of branding. My first step was purchasing the logo that I use.

When I started on Steemit, I used a personal tag. But then they put a 5-tag limit on. And there search is really good. So I figure a personal tag is just burning a tag. Better to use a tag for a topic that people would be looking at.  But that's just my view. I don't see many folks using them here, though.

Nice photo!

I love trees-- especially the really large ones. My wife and I are blessed to live on Washington State's Olympic Peninsula... home to some of the USA's last truly unexplored wilderness. There's also a number of "largest" trees in the world/North America here... some of these are more than 1000 years old.

Unlike the tree, this is a short and very sweet article. But, just like the trees present in your picture, it is a of very high quality!

Judging by the look of the foliage up above and the bark, it looks like a giant hemlock... I can only agree with you, the convergence of the two giants really ties up the picture, in terms of form while keeping a healthy balance of straight and curvy lines. Meanwhile, the mix of darkness and brightness is equally well balanced. Because I live in this environment myself, I can attest to the ever green presence! 

A very good shot, thank you for sharing both the picture and the story, it is really appreciated. All for one and one for all!  Namaste    :)

P.S.: I'll go double-check the nature of the tree in a few minutes...   ;)  ...And enjoy the snow walk among the giants!
