You must be familiar with the new theory that race is just a social construct and if, by any chance, the guy sitting next to you on the bus appears to be of a different color it’s just in your head and you’re probably a racist pig. If such notions appear on progressive blogs and politically correct sites, that’s not a problem, it’s free speech after all and they can argue black is white till they turn blue. Who cares!?

Problem is now progressive geniuses want to force doctors to stop treating patients according to race, as in the PC world [ethnicity does not determine health risks](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-6710147/Scientists-say-race-does-not-determine-health-doctors-say-fueling-racial-prejudice.html). Even if you’re not a doctor you must have heard that African-Americans are prone to hypertension, cystic fibrosis is more common among people of Northern European heritage or thalassemia affects mostly people with Mediterranean origins. Well, that’s totally racist. 
According to anthropologist Keith Hunley of the University of New Mexico, saying that some categories are prone to certain problems is ***‘bad science’*** and it’s ***‘sewing division, stereotypes and ignorance within society’***. This truly ‘revolutionary’ notion was presented this week at the American Association for the Advancement of Science conference. 
Doctors should stop assessing health risks according to race. A PC doctor should refrain from warning a black middle aged fat woman she might have hypertension, as that would be totally racist, not to mention sexist, ageist and fat-shaming. Likewise, medical students should no longer be taught racist medicine. Preferably test a patient for all possible white people diseases before daring to suggest they might have sickle-cell anemia, most prevalent among people of sub-Saharian African origin, because that would mean acknowledging the patient has a somewhat darker skin.
Another PC genius, Joseph L Graves, author of *‘The Race Myth’*, explains that the fact that he has hypertension has nothing to do with him being black. Or rather, it does, but it’s not about stupid things like genes - he has hypertension because of all the stress caused by living in a racist society.
***‘We need to be teaching not only why race is not biological, but how the perception does impact people’***, says Dr Amelia Hubbard, according to whom race is ‘***tied to social and cultural norms***.' 
I don’t know about you, but when I need to see a doctor I couldn’t care less what they think of me. All I care is getting the problem fixed, but of course I’m white and privileged.
