I have been reading a lot of information regarding the security of the METAMASK wallet for the last two weeks, there have been some very good posts, each with their own personal experiences or simply as a result of research.


Certainly, I can assure that we are our own enemies, I know it sounds very hard to say this sentence, however I say it because many times and I dare to assure that the breaches and security failures are the product of our own ignorance, not having enough information about how we can be victims of a hacker.

If we have no security knowledge on how to protect our Metamask wallet and any other wallet.

Definitely, the best recommendation is to seek sufficient information to maintain maximum security, however, we are all prone to be fooled by a page or by simply clicking on any unknown link.

I have often become a little paranoid in the sense of security, for example and a recommendation never associate your main email to these wallets or your personal blogs, however, that is part of the lack of security knowledge, another tip is also never associate your main mobile phone number to receive the two-step verification. It is recommended that you have an additional phone number for that.  But I should also comment that you cannot have that second phone number with you when you go out on the street.



I almost forgot to comment those secondary emails to be used in your different wallets or blog, you should not have them active on your main phone, because you would not be doing anything to have security.

Another recommendation is to access your secondary emails only from your main computer that you have at home and that email is advisable to place the two-step validation. It sounds exaggerated, but the more security you have, the better it is for you.

Now many learn by their own blows, and I say this with propriety after an unpleasant experience with the metamask account that I created for my daughter, where by mistake she gave away the seeds, I assume my high degree of guilt and responsibility for not instructing my daughter in some aspects of security, it was not much of a loss, however I regret to say that she was very sad to lose her account. 

However, that bad experience was a learning experience, it should not be the way to learn, however, it was the one I had, and it made me more cautious, and I could even call it paranoid in a way.


Now, for everything I do in this world of cryptocurrencies, I have to be more careful and do more research to be more secure.
