It's not easy to take a long, hard look at yourself and figure out where your weaknesses and faults lie. It's not comfortable to do at all and doesn't make you feel good at all. At first.

When you first start down the lifelong path of self-improvement it can seem as though your picking on yourself or it just feels way too uncomfortable to carry on looking at your faults. Just like everything in life, the more you work on it the better it becomes. It becomes easy to see the areas you can work on and improve. 

I'll give you a personal example. 

I realize that it's easy for me to run 10KM and go to the gym and be physically active in general. It's HARD for me to sit down on the computer and grind out 3-4 hours of work. I realize this and I'm actively working on improving this deficiency every day.

Try this out in 1-2 areas of your life initially and see what you find. Then start working on it. Right away.
