Slept the last week away + New diet. [Update on my battle with Interstitial Cystitis and PCOS]

## My first week on the new medication. Generic Elavail. 

I am still struggling with staying awake on these meds. I have missed a lot of work due to it. I work at home but I still have to be awake to do the work, ya know? I don't know if I can say it's helping as I seem to have worse nocturia than ever. That means waking up at night to pee. I wake up every 2 hours pretty much which leads to me never feeling like I have really slept at all. The walk to the bathroom, struggle to pee a few drops, dragging myself back to bed, and dealing with "MEOW"ing cat kinda makes my night frustrating. 

In spite of this I am taking my IC diet seriously. I am also taking my PCOS diet seriously. If you have PCOS and insuling resistance you need to actually eat less calories than most people and also low, low carb. So, I shopped entirely differently when I was out. I got lots of salad stuff, veggies for steaming, chickpeas, non-meat "chicken", and for snacks I got a gala? apple and a pear as well as sugar free Popsicles.

## A Reward System for my Efforts.

I work really well with a reward system. I am like a little kid. I actually was using a bullet journal awhile back and would get "way to go" and "you did it!" type stickers to mark off my chores. So, every time I lose 5 lbs I will be allowed to "indulge" within reason. Nothing that would trigger my IC just maybe a small serving of coconut milk snickerdoodle ice cream. I was eyeballing that at the store but put it back for the sugar free popsickles. Also, once I get to my actual goal weight of 145 -looks great on me- I will spend about $200 on all new clothes since none of mine will fit. I have been really depressed about my wardrobe and body as I used to be really into my style. So, that's a huge motivator. 

Also, I will probably use my bullet journal again because it really helped me.

## New work out routine. 

I will be signing up for Daily burn 365 which @kaylin made me aware of actually. It is a new full-body 30 minute work out every day. No equipment is needed. I am super excited to start getting some activity in my life again. It may hurt and cause some IC flares but not moving isn't an option. I don't want to be dead when I am like fifty. 

Aside from the 365 I will get 30 minutes on my recumbent bike every day and start doing some light yoga. I felt better physically when I spent more time stretching. Oh, and a few times a week I will do ab workouts and will do daily squats. I lost 45lbs a few years ago and looks amazing and I can do it again. More is at stake this time around. I might look a little saggier and a little more stretch-marked this time around but that's okay the main goal is health, not vanity. :) 

I've been coffee and alcohol free which was the worst for my IC and also alcohol made me fat. Hopefully, I eventually get results with the IC diet.

I used to have that exact same salad at least 4 times per week when I was doing my Keto diet!!  I wish you a fast recovery :)

I thought that was canned tuna!! :D  For dressing I would put in the salad a bit of olive oil, salt, some herbs (usually oregano or dry mint) and then a ripe avocado chopped in small pieces. I'd stir well for a couple of minutes...As you stir the avocado starts to break down, mixes with the other ingredients and makes a perfect ''dressing''!

Thanks. I don't know that my IC will ever be fully under control as its been over 2 years and just gets worse but I will at least not be fat and unhealthy. I will make myself a success and explore via virtual reality one day. hehe

Good luck with getting back into some activity.  The endorphins will help! Ive started back training this week and am feeling better already.

Well for me working out actually flares my IC and causes pain haha. That's the case with most IC people but yeah, with these pills I can't avoid resting that's for sure. ;) Thanks! I am glad you are also back to a healthier lifestyle. :D
