Good evening Steemians!

This is my photo for the [FridayLove Challenge](https://steemit.com/lovefriday/@liliana.duarte/love-friday-proposal-for-a-new-weekly-theme-challenge), initiated by @liliana.duarte.

There are few more prevalent symbols of love than the red rose, at least in Western Culture. The rose and its symbolic history can be traced all the way back to Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love. That's why I thought this photo of a red rose was fitting for the theme, love. I also included a nice poem by [Robert Burns](https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Author:Robert_Burns_(1759-1796)). Photo has a bit of post processing to it, all done in GIMP. Hope you like it!
