My horoscope predicted when I was 16 that I'll be battling a knee pain when I'll be in my 20s. Hi, I am 25 years old now. You know, I've been fighting depression when I see my right leg losing its hamstring. It's been one year I am working on it but I don't see any improvement. When I read that horoscope, I said, "what, this is crazy!" But it was true.

Reminiscing those teenage days even I couldn't ask for more, my heart was filled with hatred, daydreams, and disappointments. I feared to tell the world what is on my mind because of my lower self-esteem. I talked when someone asked, never got good friends, and hated my life. Those friends that passed by took my kindness advantage. They begged me to make their assignments without giving a return and left suddenly. 

I was a brown girl, curly-haired, anorexic looking, bullied and discriminated. But, I managed to smile against the world. I may not have friends outside but I found it at home that is more than friends, but true friends. There are many people that seek someone whom they can talk to share their problems because they are shy to their parents, but I am blessed I have two sisters who are my best advisers and listeners. My parents were also strict, but parents know what is best for us. I am grateful for them for making me into a person I dreamed myself to be.

 I am proud to be me who is always appreciative of a small help from another person not just by saying "thank you" all the time but I help in response as long as I can. My parents did not send me to the best university but taught me in fledgling days to appreciate everything and be grateful for it.

In my teenage days, I thought I will never be alive when I'll be in my 20s. I had many illnesses I did not tell to my parents. But here I am in my 25th, still alive and continuing to run the race of life. Here I am writing this #gratefulvibe story by @paradise-found who is fortunate enough to embrace another year of life and challenges. Here I am grateful for the bad things that are the keys to be the best "me."
