Caturday In Fear

One of the world most friendly animal is a cat. Human has been interact with cats at least 80 millions years ago according to <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_interaction_with_cats" rel="nofollow">Wikipedia</a>. They have been live among us everywhere around the world.

In the old days, rubbish has been thrown everywhere and the city becomes really dirty. The bad news start when there are too many cats on the street. The strong smell of cat urine is nearly everywhere on the dirty street. People start to get irritated with the population of this animals and they start to think of ways to get rid of them.

Those days I still remember parent always say "Don't touch them because they are dirty". I touch them anyway since cats are too adorable not to touch. In the old days, I remember people are kind and friendly enough to feed the cats.

In the present day, the street been much cleaner and people are more properly educated not to simply littering everywhere. At the same time, it means less food for the street cat too since most of the cats get their food nearby the waste disposal bins.

Yesterday I saw see a cat running to avoid humans on the streets. Unlike when I was a kid, I used to cats lives near the neighborhood. During the past whenever I call them, most of them will run towards me and greet me whether I got food or not. Even some may ignore the calling but they do walk away with dignity.

This cat just made me realize the society nowadays is totally different. Street cats nowadays are living in fear of human. Whenever they see human nearby them, they run away. Some still curious and do not know what to react just like this one.

I tried to make eyes contact with this cat. I guess he agrees and he stays for a while. I tried to throw some food towards him unfortunately that scare him away. The distance between us become much further. After a while, he decided to come back when he discovers is not a threat of whatever I was throwing. It takes quite a while for him to decide to pick up the food and run away.

This cat reminds me that animals start to lose humanity fate. We share the same world but we as a human to dominate the world like no ends. We lock down the animals in a cage while watching them like a live entertainment. We focus too much on materialistic and start to join the dark side. Even, the friendliest animals realize that and we are not.
