[한밤의 괴담]11. 꿈 속의 낫질

죽는 꿈을 꾸면 몸 조심해야 해.

-형, 저 진짜 무서운 꿈을 꾼 적이 있어요.

-뭔데.

- 제가 한 삼일 간 똑같은 꿈을 꿨어요.
저승사자가 나왔어요. 검은 옷을 입고, 이빨은 싯누렇고 손가락은 뼈마디밖에 없고.
근데 얘가 막 사람 머리를 낫으로 잘라요. 풀 벨때 쓰는 걸로.

-꿈이 반복됐다고.

-네. 근데 첫날에는 무서워서 덜덜 떨면서 숨어있다가 꿈이 끝났거든요.
근데 둘째날에 보니까 이 저승사자가 이상해요, 자세히 보니까 자기 눈 높이에 있는 머리만 잘라가는 거에요.
그래서 허리를 굽히고 돌아다녀 봤더니 눈치를 못 채는 거에요. 그래서 그 날은 학교도 가고 가게도 가고 그랬어요.

셋째날에 저는 이제 안심하고 걔 앞을 친구랑 같이 지나갔어요. 야, 우리 못 본다 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 이러면서.
그러면서 걔 앞을 지나가는데 갑자기 제 머리카락을 덥석 잡더니
자기 눈높이까지 끌어 올리는 거에요. 그리고 눈이 마주친 다음에
낫으로 목을 잘라버렸어요.

정말 개꿈이죠?

-그러네.

나는 후배의 목에 있는 붉은 두드러기들을 모르는 척 하며 다른 이야기로 넘어가 버렸습니다.
