Oxidation-reduction reactions ensure the vital activity of a living organism. Reactions are based on the attachment or transfer of electrons. If a substance gives up an electron, its potential rises and it is said that the substance is oxidized. If a substance acquires an electron, its potential decreases and it is said that the substance is restored.
If we look at water in nature, then its oxidation-reduction potential has limits from -400 mV to + 700 mV. Naturally, such states are not stable and water tends to zero potential. Positively charged water is an oxidizer, so it acquires electrons, thereby reducing its potential and is restored, and the substance increases its potential oxidizes.
Water, which has pronounced acid properties, is also called dead water because of its bactericidal and disinfecting effects. With this water, it is good to wash the wounds to prevent infection.
Water, which has alkaline properties or negative potential, is also called living water because of its stimulating, invigorating and tonic effect. This water helps to heal wounds.
For reference, redox values:
• Tap water from +220 mV to +380 mV;
• Water with microhydrin -200 mV
• Optimal medium for motility of spermatozoa -130 mV
• Fresh juice from +30 mV to + 70 mV
• The optimal environment for the growth of beneficial bacteria (E. coli, bifidobacteria) from -200 mV to + 50 mV
• Mother's milk -70 mV
• Natural water in the places of residence of long-livers from + 30mV to + 70mV
Be healthy!
