I've heard this annoying-sounding bird for months now; finally, I know what it looks like!

Was out in the garden yesterday and heard a bird calling.  I've heard this bird for months, it almost sounds like a cat!  Or some other animal than a bird.  It's a pretty gray color!  But, it's irritating to listen to (I'm recovering from concussions, and irritability is one of the symptoms), so I often listen to some Jonathan Coulton while I'm watering.  Current album I'm listening to over-and-over-again: Artificial Heart.

LOL, I disagree.  That's a fairly new meme, which they're pushing to shore up their lies.  In this case, that creatures can turn into other creatures.

I now firmly believe Scripture to be the word of God, and Genesis says  "after their own kind".

*Language* can evolve, but I've never witnessed a creature doing so.

I also think there's no curve (water always finds a level), and that space isn't real -- and while I've worked in a nuclear plant, so I can tell you I've experienced that nuclear radiation can heat water, I do not believe nuclear explosions are possible.  Stanley Kubrick was hired first to make nukes seem real; then, to make space seem real.

Anyway the "birds are dinosaurs" is a trigger for me, because, well, they aren't.  :)

Yes, it's our garden.  The bird was initially sitting on a vine, which was between the garden fence and the rock boundary wall, then moved to the fence.

Not exactly a forest, but yeah the left-side neighbor has left it to grow, so there are several trees, and animal dens in there.  Still haven't figured out what's tearing our squash blossoms off; I think it might be mice, since the game trail camera isn't activating even on the highest sensitivity setting, and they're small so perhaps they wouldn't activate it.  This "a24 trap" seems like the next step...

That bird is called seasonal bird in tropical countries. When this bird comes for a visit, it is a sign for the farmers to do planting seeds, seeing the tail is flapping up and down. Several months later there will be another kind (probably species) with tail flapping left and right, that will be interpreted by farmers as" time for harvest" or "rainy season is coming". Since your location is far from "Equatorial Line" the interpretation would probably the opposite. That natural science can only be understood by generations of observation :)
