This morning I rode my e-bike down to the eighteen basket disc golf course and played through it.  I didn't really keep track of the score and was just practicing.

I had to check on the mushrooms I photographed a few days ago to see how they were doing.  They were looking a bit different today:

Some of them were turning into a dark inky mess:

You can see what the weather was looking like in this photo.  It was not raining but it was a bit cloudy and cooler.  I think it is supposed to get sunny over the next few days.

My disc landed right about where you see the picture taken from.  It was the second throw from the tee and I was pretty happy it landed so close.  This is right on top of a little berm and I usually don't par this particular basket but I did today.

When playing the next basket I found someone's disc.  It is one of the harder baskets to play because of all of the bramble bushes, trees and other growth so it is not unusual to find them.

At first I was just going to leave it there.  There was someone's number on it and I was feeling pretty tired and wasn't sure if I felt like dealing with it at the time.  It looked kind of beat up and frayed around the edges and dirty like no one cared for it much and the writing was messy.

I was kind of dealing a bit with my thoughts over why I didn't want to make any effort over returning it.  The dirt was pretty normal for something laying in the forest for some time.  The marks on the edge looked like they might have been intentional so that someone could get a better grip when throwing it.  The writing, well lots of people have messy writing...

I almost walked away three times but finally texted the number asking if they wanted me to leave it on a basket.  Right away I got a call back and the person sounded really happy that I had found it.  He could not get down to the park right away so we arranged for a place where I could hide it.

I'm happy I made the effort to get it back to him and it did not take too much on my part to do it.
