Liubashivka is an urban-type settlement located in the North of Odessa region. Its history dates back more than 200 years and is famous for the abundance of archaeological finds.

**_History_**

The Foundation of Lyubashevka took place in 1802 on the lands of the landowner Lyubinsky. At that time, in the County (the so-called land area or district) lived more than 200 families: peasants, common people, merchants and nobles. In the Central part of the settlement there was a trade and craft zone and a temple owned by the Jewish community. It was the Jewish people who were able to develop and transform the lands of the nobles, making them a spiritual and educational and master base.

At a later period 1865-1884 year, after the land reforms, in Lyubashevka was opened the first secondary school and a first-aid station, which quickly transformed into a hospital. And in the early 20th century were built: steam mills, brick factory, tavern, shops and even wine cellars. The village flourished.

However, this rise does not last long. Already in the middle of the 20th century (the period from 1914 to 1947) Ukraine survived-2 world wars, repressions, political regime change, hunger and poverty. This could not but affect the regional centers. Replacing one crisis soon came another – after the perestroika, which was overcome only by the beginning of the 21st century.

Today liubashivka is a centralized self-governing settlement, which includes a hospital, several schools, train station, TV tower, kindergartens and various sections.

**_Values and findings_**

In Lyubashevsky district there are a huge number of settlements, which are famous among historians and archaeologists for the wealth of valuable Antiques.

For example: in the villages: In the Plaza, Side, Korniivka, Krychunove – still find valuable coins, barrows, ancient items indicating the sites of ancient people and settlements.
In the most Lyubashevka was found several coins of the 13th century, Spanish gold. But near the town there are a number of graves that have been discovered during expeditions in the mid-20th century.

Lyubashevsky district is rich in its centuries-old attractions. Church of St. John theologian, located in the village of Pokrovka, was built and consecrated in 1911. For some time it was closed to the public, but today its doors are open to believers. Services have been held here, which attracts people from all over the district.

No less famous for its history, the building of the railway station, built in the middle of the 18th century. Until now, it serves its intended purpose and is also an architectural monument.

In the territory of Lyubashevsky district 24 monuments devoted to the great Patriotic War are established. Among them there are fraternal burial places and Memorials to soldiers-liberators.

No less known is an ancient Jewish cemetery located in the center of the village. It was discovered around the beginning of the 18th century. There is a burial of a very important and famous people of the district.

The historically famous Kolyma river flows through the whole area.
