STEEMCHURCH: ATTACK, LIFT THE FIRE!
<CENTER>

The word to stir means to remove or feed the fire so that it burns more. Wood plays a very important role in setting the fire. But we do not talk about fire for a barbecue, or for a fire. It is something more personal, applied to our lives.

The Word of God tells us in the Old Testament that God had commanded the priests, that at the time of making the sacrifice, the fire on the altar should be on all the time, without extinguishing.

> Leviticus 6:
8 The LORD said to Moses, 9 "Tell this to Aaron and his sons: This is the law of sacrifice that must be completely burned. The animal that is sacrificed will be left on the altar all night until the next morning with the fire burning. 12 The fire of the altar will always remain lit, it will never be extinguished. The priest will throw wood on the altar each morning, accommodate the animal that is going to be burned and also burn the fat of the offerings on the altar to celebrate. 13 The fire must always remain lit on the altar; it should never be turned off (PDT).

The wood (wood) represents our humanity, because we fail constantly and it is necessary to put it before the altar of God to be burned; to give him our weaknesses, that which we have not been able to eliminate from our life and that we know that hinders us. Once placed on the altar, all the "fat" will be consumed and God will not allow the fire of our inner life to go out.

# WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF RAISING AN ALTAR?

As Christians, it is the most important thing we must do. If we have really given our lives to Jesus Christ and consider him Lord of our lives, that means that He is the master and supreme ruler of our whole being. The Lord Jesus Christ deserves all our adoration. The worship of our days is different than it was in the Old Testament, because Christ had not yet arrived on earth, and therefore, did not dwell within the heart.

Now, Christ lives in the hearts of those who have received him and the worship is internal. The altar is within us, where He dwells. And just as it was necessary that they were continually stirring the fire on the physical altar, without letting it go out, we must also "stir up the fire" inside our hearts so that the love for God does not go out.

Adoration brings us closer and connects with the supreme being that EVERYTHING can: our beloved God and he who loves our souls. By being in His presence, our whole being is transformed. We begin to see life, people, the world, the earthly, with another nuance. It changes our way of thinking, feeling and doing things. Our priorities change. It takes us away from sin. There is an internal explosion of joy within us. And we are not the same.

Every love relationship needs continuity. You have to work on the relationship so that love does not get cold. As humans, we have a tendency for love to be worn out by routine and because other things in life distract us and we do not pay due attention to that special person. It always takes an extra effort to "fan" a relationship, such as the details you have with the other person so that you feel loved, and the moments of emotional intimacy in which you melt heart with heart.

When it comes to God, a fortiori, because it is about the LIVING GOD! Perhaps because our physical eyes do not see it, it is easy for us to neglect to seek it, pray, read His Word and receive what He has to give us. We have also, against us, the enemy of our souls as a roaring lion trying to devour us (1 Peter 5: 8); the evil that is in the world makes our love grow cold (Matthew 24:12); and human weakness "That is why I recommend that you awaken the flame of the gift of God that you received ..." PDT (2 Timothy 1: 6).

And when it comes to fire, one of the symbols of the Holy Spirit is fire. We see it in the book of the Acts of the Apostles, when the Holy Spirit manifested to them in the form of fire. (Acts 2: 1-4) Let's ask the Holy Spirit to fill us each day and that we can be witnesses of Jesus on this earth.

Therefore, while there is time ... 6 Seek the LORD as long as there is an opportunity to find him; Call him while he is near. 7 Let the wicked one stop doing evil and the wicked one stop his evil thoughts. Let them turn to the LORD, and so He will have compassion on them. May they turn to our God, because He is generous to forgive them. PDT (Isaiah 55: 6-7).

Let's go back to our first love with God, as when we "met" him for the first time, spending time in daily intimacy with him. That will revive our life, it will be much richer and more abundant. We will live in the joy that only God can give us.
