My husband recently joined Steemit and has gone through the predictable minnow motions. I've compiled a list of some of his comments over the last three weeks. I think it's pretty funny as it encapsulates pretty much everyone's experience on here the first month. 

<h2>Week One:</h2> 

“This is kind of cool. I just wrote a really good post. I think people will like this.” 

“Hmmm. I got three votes. Let me try another one and see if that goes over better....”

"Maybe I should do an Introduceyourself post."

"How is it that some really dumb posts are getting so many votes and making it to the trending page?"

“What is Steem Power and how do I earn it? And what’s the difference between Steem, Steem Power, and Steem Dollars?” 

“I figured out the Three C’s: Create, Comment, Curate. Does that really work?” 

“Who is this @jerrybanfield guy? I think I’ll follow him.”

<h2>Week Two:</h2>

“Did you know about streemian.com? We should sign up….oh, you’re already on there? Well...good job.” 

“I wrote a post that got $7, so I did three more like it and got nothing. What gives???” 

“I’m not sure all this effort is worth it. I put a lot of work into these and people don’t even look at them, let alone vote on them.” 

“Hey! I just made $10 on a post! This is great! I have an idea for a new post." 

"I think this person has a fake account! And they are voting for themselves with another account. Is that allowed?" 

"Check your wallet. Steem went up this week."

<h2>Week Three:</h2> 

“I have 100 followers, and I have earned almost $20 on my account. I am going to post once a day, buy some steem, increase my Steem Power, and set a goal to earn enough to buy a car by Christmas.” 

“Have you heard of @whaleshares for minnows to get more exposure? Does it work?”

"How do I get one of those 'verified' badges?"

“I figured out the exchange. We need to sign up for Poloniex.”

“I just found out China is cracking down on bitcoin and Poloniex is not exchanging with Steem right now. That sucks. I just signed up.” 

“Um, check your wallet. Steem is plummeting.” 

“I just found a new way to exchange steem for bitcoin. We could do Bitshares and Openledger.” 

"I wish I would have signed up last year when you did. I'd be a lot further along by now...."
