安徽公学，前身是安徽旅湘公学，由李光炯和卢仲农创办，1904年从湖南长沙迁来芜湖。

> 安徽公学在安徽的革命历史上起了非常重要的作用，实际上成为了安徽响应辛亥革命的策源地。
> 1906年底，安徽公学内的革命活动被芜湖地方当局察觉，并上报清廷。随后，清政府加强了对安徽公学革命活动的监视。1907年初，陈独秀等革命党人被迫陆续撤离芜湖。
> 　芜湖光复后的1912年7月，李光炯和卢仲农鉴于安徽职业教育落后的情况，将公学改为私立甲种实业学堂，并将校址由米捐巷迁到芜湖东门外校场街，分设农、商两科，卢仲农任校长。
> 后来学校规模逐渐扩大，1914年改为公办的安徽省立第二甲种农业学校。
> 一直到大革命时期，学校依然是安徽各地进步青年集聚的地方，革命运动十分活跃。
> 芜湖历史上第一个中共党、团组织都是在这所学校内成立的。
