What is the Question of Conquered Fear?
The title is an allusion to one of Graham Greene's most famous poems; though the inspiration for it was the same, Conquered Fear was written in entirely different circumstances. It is a story about the astronomical phenomena known as the Milky Way. It describes how a dying comet speeds through space towards a very stable system of stars. It passes close to a white star cluster, called Messier. It spirals into a black hole, and the stars behind it become a dark matter that puffs out much of the gas that makes up the rest of the system.

It is at this stage that the poet inserts his take on events that occur within the cosmos. This is Conquered Fear, the story of how a dying comet strikes a star, transforming it into a white star and speeding away. The transformation takes place because the comet has left an imprint on the surface of one of the white dwarf stars. As this star grows closer to the black hole, it starts to get pulled into it. When the mass of gas that makes up this star gets tugged, it spirals away from the black hole.

It is then that Conquered Fear begins. A small, insignificant planet called Pandora (or Poppy) begins to tug at the star. And the tugging gets more powerful. Pandora is finally tugged to such a force that it pulls itself into a small, escaping orbit around the star. But when it comes to a collision with the star, the pull is tremendous. And when the planet reaches Earth it wrecks havoc on its magnetic field, causing enough atmospheric disruption that the world's only remaining habitable satellites can no longer support life.

Thus begins the second act of Conquered Fear, the second verse. Pandora is tugged by the right hand of God, and in so doing, she is transformed into a massive cloud of smoke. But as the cloud is pulled into the black hole, it pulls even more of the star out into the universe. This second act of pulling takes the final step toward destruction.

Now it is God's turn to be tugged, and the pulling is even greater. The third verse of Conquered Fear tells us that the smoke clouds that had been formed by the first act of tugging are now being swallowed up by the black hole. But there is hope. Because the smoke clouds, which represent the second act of God pulling God closer to us, are now in the form of angels. These angels have been sent to communicate the fact that there is life elsewhere in the universe and that we must go to receive it.

God's angels act as a bridge between us and God, as they escort us safely and swiftly to heaven. In the book of Revelation, the third chapter, we are told that God's angels carry the Holy Word to heaven. Jesus told us that his Father will come in his glory with his angels, and that we will see His face no more because the Father has come in his name. These are some pretty heavy words for the average Christian to understand, and yet when they are put into the right light, they make a lot of sense.

Through the work of the Holy Ghost and the Holy Spirit, the soul continues to progress until it reaches salvation. And at the same time, the soul also begins to move towards death. This is the point where the soul understands that it is "at the end of the road," where the soul understands that its purpose for being on earth is no longer. It knows that it is part of the plan of God for its future destiny, and it is preparing itself for the last battle.

So there you have it. That was the answer to the question of Conquered Fear. It is time to stop fearing and to yield to the voice of the Lord. The Lord wants you to yield, He wants your soul to yield, and you can hear the trumpets to come.
