- Overall there is strength in the GBP and EUR. Weakness in the NZD, CHF, USD and JPY.

- Oil prices gained on Thursday in Asia after the Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported a drop in U.S. crude stockpiles.

- GBP/USD posted a strong rebound of 1.1% to US$1.2623, halting a three-day decline, as UK Prime Minister Theresa May held onto her Conservative Party leadership by surviving a confidence vote. 63% of Conservative Members of Parliament supported her while 37% voted against her.

- USD/JPY lingers near 113.50 ahead of European trading ForexLive Asian equities are still riding the good news from the US-China trade rhetoric after and Trump reiterating that he will meet Xi for another round of trade talks "if need be". 

- EUR/USD remains on the upside after breaking above a bullish channel. The intraday configuration remains bullish, and the pair should target 1.1425 upon reaching 1.1400. Alternatively, losing the key support at 1.1350 would trigger a further decline toward 1.1325 on the downside.

- On the data slate there’s UK House Price Balance; German CPI; Switzerland Sight Deposit Interest Rate; Switzerland SNB’s Jordan Speaks at Press Conference in Berne; Euro-Zone ECB Rate Decision; Euro-Zone ECB Marginal Lending Facility; Euro-Zone ECB Deposit Facility Rate; US Export & Import Prices; US Initial Jobless Claims and US Continuing Claims.
