Aoki Sushi Restaurant, Miri, Sarawak

Years ago when I worked in Brunei, I frequented this sushi restaurant called Misato. Then a new Japanese restaurant suddenly opened replacing the old one. This sushi place is pretty near my house. The chef used to work in Brunei. He worked at Misato until it closed down.

Newly opened, it looks quite premium. There are two floors here. We wanted to sit at the second floor but there wasn't a conveyor belt so we decided then to sit and dine at the first floor.

Baby octopus

One of my favourite dishes. If there wasn't any chickens left, I guess, this would be a great replacement.

Not sure what this is but it has avacado as the filling topped with cheese and tempura flakes.

Fried softshell crab

One of my favourite dishes. Looking at this picture definitely makes me hungry. It's basically crab, fried and tempura Ed. It wasn't that crunchy when this dish came and it should have been a little bit crunchy.

The two avacado sushi. Everything was avacado on this day. We wanted to see what all the different avacado tasted like when it's made into sushi. These are made with Australian Avacado. Malaysia does have its own homegrown avacado but none in Miri.

Not sure what's the name. 

The sushi here tastes great. Some places have sushi made that have this flat taste with not enough texture to it. The food here is great. The service fee is slightly higg
