Steemit has a lot of cool tools you can use on [SteemitTools.com](http://steemtools.com/) and today I'm going to show you a few helpful ones I like to use to engage with the community better.

 *Want to know if anyone mentioning you in a comment or post?*

This [simple mention app](http://api.comprendre-steem.fr/mentions/) to find articles with your username in them by @roxane works great. 

Click [this link](http://api.comprendre-steem.fr/mentions/) and you'll come to a simple page to enter your username. After entering your username a list of links will show every post you are mentioned in. Clicking on a link in the list will open that Steemit post so you can respond to the comment or post.

This is a great way to engage with the community and carry on the conversation. It's sleek, it's simple, and I highly recommend it.

*Want to know how close you are to reaching the next reputation score?*

[Steem Cool](http://steem.cool/) by @blueorgy is an app that shows you the progress of your reputation score. You just add a username and a bar graph shows you your progress along with how far you have to go to reach your next reputation score.

It also displays your vesting power and current voting power. It's a very simple tool, easy to use, and another good tool to have in your toolkit.

Just go to http://steem.cool/ and add your username to see the results. Like this http://steem.cool/@YourUserName

*Want to know who you most loyal upvoters are?*

[UpVoters](http://steem.loadsup.net/upvoters/) by @elviento is an app that displays people who upvote you the most so you can see your most loyal followers.

Go to http://steem.loadsup.net/upvoters/ and enter your username to see the results. Clicking on any of the boxes displaying the user who upvoted you will take you to their blog.

*Got a question about Steemit and need the answer?*

I get asked questions all the time from new people that are answered in the FAQ on Steemit, they just don't know it's there.

One commonly overlooked part of Steemit is the frequently asked questions tab [FAQ](https://steemit.com/faq.html) which can be found in the menu. Click on those 3 horizontal lines in the upper right-hand corner of your Steemit blog.

A drop-down menu will appear. Click on [FAQ](https://steemit.com/faq.html) and it will provide you will a wealth of information about Steemit. 

This will explain how Steemit works, how to make a post, how to transfer Steem and a host of other questions for the new or advanced user and is a good place to start learning all about Steemit. 

Another very helpful website for Steemit authors is https://www.steemithelp.net

It explains everything you need to know about using Steemit and has a very helpful [Steemit etiquette](https://www.steemithelp.net/#/etiquette/) section that everyone should read.
