As for the picture, when you think about it, it is their happiness that created the blur :)   Great story @lyndsaybowes  I had come to the point I was going to invite my mother to join Steemit.  She is 82 years old, but she just got "married" a couple of weeks ago so I don't want to take away any of that excitement for her in any way right now.

It may just be she and her new hubby, after the honeymoon wears off will join as well.  Either way, I am excited for people "being happy".

awww ..shucks, gee golly, we are blushing here.  I think we do what comes naturally and it only seemed fitting that we did what we did and do what we do.  I love that picture because it is joy, and dancing brings us joy and its something we do not do enough of.  I believe Craig and I make up a new millenial of retired people.  Hip and young and growing old gracefully.  Carefully surrendering things of our youth (we dont waterski anymore) .  But always trying to maintain an upbeat lifestyle and keep current with new trends. So rather than fight it we thought we would join in and see what all the hype was about.  Much to our delight Steem has been proven to be all its worth and more.  We are trying to keep abreast of new ideas and ways to make our retirement fun and exciting, with the ability to have funds for travel and fun.  Steemit, Bitcoin and Fractional Trading and Investments are the new age way to go.  So I find we mix old world with new.  New Age ideas and concepts all the while living a simple life with some old standards.  Finding peace and joy on the Ocean. Bless you Lyndsay for this post.

We all know that most of us wasn't born with "a silver spoon in our mouth."
That is a saying that has been around for a long time.
And there is a reason for it. It is because it is true.
Most of us had to struggle to get to some level of satisfaction 
in our lives. Many of us has lost substantial assets too in our lives.
But, we didn't give up. Just as you have been doing . So do we.
Thank you for reminding us that we are not the only ones that struggled.
I thought maybe I was some kind of freak failure or something.

My father in law is pretty cool too I got him to invest in BTC a while ago now and he has just turned 80!

They sound like great people. True about Steem. Before Steemit I really didn't know about cryptocurrencies. Steemit is another world where people talk of crytocurrencies all the time. Still I don't know anyone that I see face to face that has any cryptocurrencies.

Oh what awesome folks and such an inspiration. I just need to get my mum into it now - she is a young 80 something and could do with a bit of a financial boost.. so yes , just the thing thanks Lyndsay for sharing your outlaws story. I know it's the wrong word but the one I fondly use for in laws as I think it's more fun .

Looks like you married well - a great husband and father and some super extended family too! It's great that you can repay their trust in you and introduce them to crypto at the same time.

I really wish I could get my mother interested in at least turning on a computer. It's like she thinks it'll burst into flames if she presses the wrong button. But at least when I visit and show her what her grandchildren (my brother's kids) are up on to Facebook, it's like I've tapped into some magical wonderland.
