Delta Empire 라는 유튜버가 있다.
여러 음악들의 드럼 파트를 커버한 영상을 올린다. 주로 락이나 헤비메탈 쪽의 커버를 올리는데, 가끔 EDM 의 드럼 커버를 올리기도 한다. 이 분 영상을 꽤 자주 시청하는 편인데, 실력도 실력이지만 드럼을 너무 간지 나게 치기 때문에 자주 찾아본다. 진짜 멋있게 때려댄다. 오래전에 스팀잇 포스팅을 통해 [소개](https://steemit.com/kr/@machellin/-ep-012-1542783397802)하기도 했었다. <sub>찾아보니 2년 전이다.</sub> 

일요일을 맞아 집에만 있다가 따분해 스트레스나 확 풀어볼까 이 분 유튜브 채널에 들어갔더니, 올 2월에 프로디지의 breathe 를 커버했네? 육성으로 오오- 하는 감탄사를 내며 바로 플레이 버튼을 클릭했다. Breathe 는 내가 결정적으로 일렉트로닉 음악에 빠지게 한 원흉(?)인 곡으로서 전혀 과장하지 않고 최-소로 잡아서 만 번 이상은 들었다. 그만큼 좋아하는 곡인데 드럼 커버를 올려주시다니 감사할 따름.

2:17 소름. 설마 이 부분에서도 드럼을 두들길 줄은 몰랐음.

대충 50번째는 듣고 있는 거 같은데, 문득 파일로도 소장하고 싶다는 생각이 들었다. 그래서 혹 오디오 파일을 살 수 있을지 이메일이라도 보내볼까 찾아봤는데, 작년 10월에 앨범을 내고 정식으로 데뷔도 했다.

역시 실력자는 세상이 가만 놔두지 않는다. 항상 가면을 쓰고 나오길래 어느 유명한 밴드의 드러머가 재미 삼아 정체를 숨기고 유튜브 활동을 하는 건가 추측도 하고는 했는데, 순수 아마추어였었구나.

실력 있는 드러머의 연주에 관심이 있다면 한번 시청해보시길. 유튜브에 드럼 커버 영상 정말 많지만 Delta Empire 이 분은 군계일학이다.
