2 Chronicles 32:24-26 (KJV)
*In those days Hezekiah was sick to the death, and prayed unto the LORD: and he spake unto him, and he gave him a sign.
But Hezekiah rendered not again according to the benefit done unto him; for his heart was lifted up: therefore there was wrath upon him, and upon Judah and Jerusalem.
Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the LORD came not upon them in the days of Hezekiah.*

Hezekiah was a very good man, but he was a man. His reign as King was marked by both good and godly direction for Judah from him, as well as blessings for Judah from God. 

2 Chronicles’ version of Hezekiah’s illness and the sign of his healing is much abbreviated, but we know it was astounding. The Bible says he, “rendered not again according to the benefit done unto him.” His response to his healing and the sign of it did not reflect the magnificence of them. 
His heart got lifted up and the Lord brought wrath because of it. 

Now the point. “Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself” for which God restrained His wrath. 
All of us, the very best of us, can be lifted in pride. O, what sin when we refuse to see it! But if we see it, if we humble ourselves, we find, time and again, that God blesses the humble.
