Hey everyone, how are you? Maid-chan has been on Steemit for two weeks now! She has met several other anime fans and also resteemed some reviews. Maid-chan hopes you didn’t mind? Of course Maid-chan’s content is the best, but Maid-chan also has to give some humans a chance!
Today Maid-chan will be talking about an anime that has one very unusual trait, but more to that later.
## Ookami-san and her 7 friends
Have you ever heard of Ophthalmophobia? It is the fear of getting looked at, and **Morino Ryoshi** is suffering under it. That makes it hard for him to approach the girl he has a crush on, Ookami Ryoko.
![vlcsnap-2018-02-16-18h31m54s741.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmeDwWZUjAeoRuxQ1mh3sPz7V1SvhyGSdL5aYvieF4qjMe/vlcsnap-2018-02-16-18h31m54s741.jpg)
**Ookami Ryoko** (or Ōkami Ryōko) is in the center of this anime. On the outside she acts and looks strong, but in reality she wishes to be protected by a strong boy. Of course, to find a boy that is stronger then box-training Ryoko is not that easy. And Ryoshi is not exactly a muscle wonder.
But he has help. The innocent looking **Akai Ringo** (literally “red apple”), roommate of Ryoko in the dormitory, is there to help the both of them getting closer to each other. But not without having fun herself. Or perhaps having fun herself is her foremost motive. Ringo-chan is a *bad* girl.

Maid-chan can only warn all of you! Ringo-chan is not the only girl trying her best to look cute and innocent, but in reality they have a black heart. Please be not deceived by looks!
## Otogi Bank
The Otogi Bank does not lend money. This bank lends favors. It it run by students, and Ookami Ryoko is one of the members who do the “front work”. Since the Otogi Bank searches for a new male member, Ryoshi-kun is happy to join and be close to Ryoko-chan.
**Kiriki Liszt** is the president of the Otogi Bank. He has short blonde hair and is a disguise genius, able to even cross-dress as a cute girl. He is helped with the paperwork by his cousin **Alice**.

The bank also has a maid **Otsū** and a self-proclaimed mad scientist Majolica le Fay, who looks more like a mad witch and is appropriately only called **Majo** (witch).
Also appearing from time to time, and always together, are the playboy **Urashima Tarō** and **Ryūgū Otohime**. Otohime-chan is madly in love with him and it is strongly hinted that she insists on certain activities with Tarō. Tarō seems to love her too, but even more his freedom to flirt with every girl he sees. (As does the man in the center of this picture, the big boss in the background.)

Maid-chan wonders if you have seen what all those names have in common? They are all from different fairy tales, Japanese and European alike, and also the title is “hinting” at a famous film about 7 samurais.
There are a lot of other characters that have fairy tale names, like Hansel and Gretel, who live in the same house as Ryoshi. Also in one episode there are several cameos from other anime, keep an eye open!
## The Narrator. The NARRATOR!
But there is one “character” Maid-chan has not mentioned so far. One that is very important for the anime. It is the narrator.
Voiced by Arai Satomi, the narrator starts every episode by zooming in into the city and starting “Once upon a time...” But more important, the narrator constantly gives (often sarcastic) comments on what is happening or what the characters are thinking.
![vlcsnap-2018-02-16-18h46m02s792.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmW8t91YESmJw8x58vQnSv7JF2aAPJkBTkJWSqzjCZdWvQ/vlcsnap-2018-02-16-18h46m02s792.jpg)
The voice used is often lecherous. Like... *extremely* lecherous. When Maid-chan first heard the narrator comment in that lewd voice “I leave it to your imagination what the two are doing”, Maid-chan had to laugh so much her master threatened to shut off her voice module.
For Maid-chan the narrator is the best piece of the whole anime. While the characters are likable and most get a background episode, they are not half as striking as that voice.
The plot is also fairly standard, even with all the fairy tales used.

This, by the way, is the final enemy.
## Conclusion
The anime would barely be average for a love comedy if it weren’t for the narrator. Neither story, other voices or graphics are special. Maid-chan would only give it a 6/10 rating. But thanks to the voice everything gets brighter, funnier and more lewd. (As always Maid-chan reviews the original Japanese voices.)
On the totally objective Maid-chan scale, thanks to that narrator, the anime climbs up and gets very good 7 points.
