Hello, first of all, I would like to thank @papi-mati for establishing this great community, especially for those who like to travel. Greetings to all members of the Steem -Travelers Community. Hopefully we can share and have fun here.


In this post I want to introduce a famous tourist spot located in the Gayo highlands, Central Aceh Regency, Aceh Province - Indonesia.

Last week, my friends and I studied at the Indonesian National Islamic University campus. visit a tourist spot in Takengon City. We went to the location by motorbike from Lhokseumawe City. Takengon City is about 119 kilometers (km) from Lhokseumawe City or the travel time is approximately three hours.

The plan is that we will stay and camp with friends there while enjoying the night atmosphere on the edge of Laut Tawar Lake. We have prepared all the food ingredients including chicken and fish for dinner tonight.

We departed in the afternoon from the city of Lhokseumawe so that when we arrived at the location it was already afternoon. Our male friends immediately set up a tent and looked for firewood, while we women immediately prepared all the ingredients and spices needed for grilled chicken and fish.

After dinner we spent more time chatting with friends and greeting some visitors who also happened to be camping near us. In the middle of the night we immediately rested so that the next day we could wake up in a fresher state.

Laut Tawar Lake, that is the name the Gayo tribe gave to this 5472 hectare lake. Lake Laut Tawar is like a blue carpet if you pass over it by helicopter or plane, much like the remnants of seawater trapped on land during a big storm thousands of years ago. Me and my friend tried to swim in the freshwater lake. Although I have visited several times, this is the first time I swim. Previously I just enjoyed the atmosphere while enjoying the beauty lake.

If you want to find a tourist spot for a vacation with family or friends. You can visit Takengon City because there are many other interesting spots in this area. Takengon is also known as the best coffee producing area in the world.

Beautiful "blue carpet" and nicely done publication - it's very high quality, I truly enjoyed reading it. 

Camping with the team of your friends, grilled chicken (and fish, but personally I prefer chicken :P ), swimming in the lake - what else can we need? It's all very idyllic and idyllic is how I felt reading that publication. Thank you for that.
