For several days, it rained on Kamchatka and we almost never left the house.
One of these days we visited the museum of the Kronotsky Reserve. The museum itself is small, but you can not just go there - you must always book a tour or join a tour group. It is made so that people not so much came to see the exhibits, which are not many, but to listen to the stories of the guide.
By the way, the excursion was really interesting!

At the entrance to the museum is made such a beautiful floor. It shows a map of the Kamchatka Territory.

We go further and listen to the history of the creation of the Kronotsky Reserve.
The first mention of the "protected forest of the Kamchadals" was written in the mid-18th century by the famous explorer of the Kamchatka peninsula Stepan Krasheninnikov. Since then, the territory of the reserve has expanded and it began to include such famous worldwide objects as the Valley of Geysers and the Valley of Death.

We look at the exhibits. Here you can see different types of fish, animals and birds, which form an integral part of the nature of the Kamchatka Territory.

There are many cognitive stands dedicated to the geology of rocks and volcanic eruptions in the museum.

All the samples presented on the stand are not a model. They were collected at different times on the territory of the reserve.

There are also piece of stone birch. Pay attention to how many are densely located on her annual rings.

Also there are stands with various fun tasks. They are intended mainly for children. But an adult, unfamiliar with the nature of the Kamchatka Territory, is unlikely to cope with them.
For example, on this stand it is proposed to identify an animal by touching its fur. Can you do this?

I really liked the story about the Kronotsky Reserve and of course I would like to visit it. Unfortunately, I do not have enough money for this, because you can get there only by helicopter. Only this fact raises the price of excursions to 50 000 rubles and more.
