In this report I do a brief review of the markets for the week ending on Friday, March 23rd, 2018. I look at the precarious technical picture for the Dow Jones Industrial average and note how precious metals had a good week and gold finished up 2.5% while the major equity market indices finished lower by more than 5%.

I look closely at the biggest German bank, Deutsche Bank, and how its stock price is near all time lows and the fact that it is considered a SIFI or Significantly Important Financial Institutions by global financial regulators like the Bank for International Settlements and the European Central Bank.

I look at the recent history of the bank and how it got involved into the Wall Street environment of  Casino Investment banking and how the failure of Deutsche Bank could  make the collapse of Lehman Brothers in 2008 look like a picnic in the park.

Yes, I have been talking to my friends about this whole situation and it is amazing how people just give a blanket shoulder shrug like, well yea everything is fucked. But it's also fine all at the same time. It's like a car with steam coming out of the hood and nobody wants to look.

There comes a point where you just have to give up on them. Continually trying to educate people is de-energising and they just think you are being negative. It's best to let them find out for themselves when it's too late. When they come to you for advice when it's too late you can only really give them a blanket shoulder shrug.

In your opinion, if there is a systemic crash or collapse, how will people use their crypto currencies? My instinct tells me that people will see them as a store of wealth outside the fiat system and run toward it. But I have heard another argument that many will flee crypto currencies in a time of crises because they are 'speculative assets', and these assets are always sold in a time of crises. What is your opinion?

Interesting times. Glad I've maintained my preps that I started socking away back in 2006. As it turned out, I didn't need them during the 2008 recession but there's a chance they might come in handy this time around. 
This is most definitely a predictable problem so it's a perfect candidate for their "problem, reaction, solution" routine. I wonder what they've got planned for this?
