# Inmaculada Concepción</center>

La Iglesia Inmaculada Concepción, fue el primer templo católico construido en la ciudad de Barquisimeto, como una humilde capilla de bahareque con el techo de paja.

Posteriormente, esta edificación se transformaría con el tiempo en una estructura más sólida, que llegaría a poseer una torre de cuatro cuerpos, cuya parte inferior estaba dedicada a la capilla de Santa Gertrudis, permaneciendo de esta manera hasta 1736, cuando quedó en ruinas, producto de un movimiento sísmico.

Sobre los escombros de la antigua estructura, se reedificaría el templo, sin embargo, es destruido nuevamente por el terremoto de 1812 que azotara a gran parte del territorio nacional. Luego de 43 años, gracias a los esfuerzos e iniciativa del Padre Macario Yépez, sería reconstruido una vez vez la iglesia, que hoy en día, permanece de pie. Allí serían sepultados los restos del Padre Macario Yépez.

La fotografía original fue tomada poco tiempo atrás durante un paseo que realizara al centro de la ciudad,  y posteriormente la modificaría con las herramientas que proporciona el editor de imágenes **PicsArt**. En este caso en particular, empleé una superposición de filtros, para lograr el resultado deseado.</div>

The Immaculate Conception Church, was the first Catholic temple built in the city of Barquisimeto, as a humble chapel of bahareque with thatched roof.

Later, this building would be transformed over time into a more solid structure, which would eventually have a four-body tower, whose lower part was dedicated to the chapel of Santa Gertrudis, remaining in this way until 1736, when it was left in ruins, product of a seismic movement.

On the rubble of the old structure, the temple would be rebuilt, however, it is destroyed again by the earthquake of 1812 that hit a large part of the national territory. After 43 years, thanks to the efforts and initiative of Father Macario Yépez, the church, which today stands still, would be rebuilt once. The remains of Father Macario Yépez would be buried there.

The original photograph was taken a short time ago during a walk to the city center, and later modified with the tools provided by the image editor **PicsArt**. In this particular case, I used an overlay of filters, to achieve the desired result.</div>
