# Skepticism</center>

*Skepticism* is generally defined as any attitude of doubt towards knowledge, be it facts, opinions or beliefs declared as fact, or doubt regarding statements that are taken for granted in another part.

The original image taken in color a few years ago, during a short visit to **Puerto Cabello**, a Venezuelan port city located on the shores of the *Caribbean Sea*, was modified using the editing tools of the **PicsArt** application, using a filter overlay, starting with a filter of the type HDR (High Dynamic Range) in order to expand the tones of the original image, and subsequently a simple filter of Black & White, a procedure that I have used previously in other publications..</div>

El *escepticismo* es definido generalmente como cualquier actitud de duda hacia el conocimiento, sea este hechos, opiniones o creencias declaradas como hechos, o de duda respecto de afirmaciones que son tomadas por supuestos en otra parte. 

La imagen original tomada a color unos años atrás, durante una corta visita que realizara a **Puerto Cabello**, una ciudad portuaria ubicada en las orillas del *Mar Caribe*, fue modificada haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición de la aplicación **PicsArt**, empleando una superposición de filtros, comenzando con un filtro del tipo HDR (High Dynamic Range) con la finalidad de ampliar los tonos de la imagen original, y posteriormente un filtro sencillo de Blanco & Negro, un procedimiento que ya he usado con anterioridad en otras publicaciones.</div>
