There was a time of my life that I was feeling lost.
Then, one day, the Production Director from the company I work for wrote me an email:
*“Do you want to do a short documentary? You can use our equipment for free.”*
I was so surprised with the opportunity, that I said *YES!* Straight away…
For months, I had to convince professionals to work for me for free. Actually I paid for food expenses and in the meanwhile I gave a lot of **Marcelli's wise life advices** and I kept a good vibe everytime we met.
Honestly, the role process was very difficult. I was always feeling exhausted mentally and physically.
It was January 2016 when I was editing in South London. I used to come back home, in North, super late and had to wake up at 6 am to go to work in the next day. One night it was 3 degrees and raining. I forgot my umbrella and had to run back home from Manor House Station. That night I cried.
*"Why everything has to be so difficult in my life?”* I asked myself.
Eventually I finished the documentary and started applying for film festivals.
My first documentary - **Abner Harris - That's life** was selected in 10 film festivals around the world. It won an award in Belarus, Minsk and Hollywood, USA. It was finalist in Bali, semi-finalist in London and Ontario. It was shown in Los Angeles, Antwerp, Nashville, Barcelona and Louisiana.

Then, I understood what it means hard work, positivity and trusting yourself. Right now I am in post-production of my second short documentary and when I look back, I know that it is exhausting and stressful but it is **WORTH IT!**
I would like to share it with you my first one. Hope you enjoy it!
