On the lyre, lies fliers
smouldering on the pyre,
memories, engulfed in flames,
raping the silence is the travails,
wailing in cacophony,
we're emissaries of grief,
dripping tears on the xylophone
leaving our palm fronds on the floor,
for a smooth passage into paradise

Here is our sung songs,
hunged ontop our throats
but misery is a bastard,
stealing the harmony off our voice
the absences of presence,
the deafening sound of emptiness,
is like a flute sporadically serenading,
the beautiful ones in the grave.

Our elegy is raining melancholy,
awakened by the joy of despair,
we despise the rainy tears in the Savannah,
for we're only fragments
blown into the bibulous face of the firmament,
a passage is carved into solemness,
free from the fury of this frivolous life,
we're waiting, earnestly waiting,
for the trumpet in the distance,
to announce our expiration.

Here to carve into epitaphs
words that will last everlasting,
on stones and in the heart,
we're here with harps and tambourines,
to celebrate beautifully in sorrow,
dance gleefully in sadness,
swaying in eulogies till we can say no more.

<h3><center>A THIRST SURPASSES IT ALL</center></h3>

Passion or desire
A passion for water
A desire for water
But a thirst for water surpasses it all
Quench my thirst with just a drop
I plead.

Success
A passion for success.
A desire to be successful
An endless walk to get success
But a thirsty heart wants it more
A thirsty needs success to be satisfied

Fame
A passion for fame
A desire to be famous
But the passion and desire ain't gotten
For they weren't work upon
But a thirst got the fame
A thirst work for it.

Passion or desire
Endless routes are being taken to get it
But a thirst got it all
A thirst fought it's best to get it
And a thirst was quench
A thirst was fulfilled
