Seine & Katanec MUSIC TOUR FILM / Story PART II / Exclusive on Steemit!

As I promised, I'm writing part II of the story about the tour. <a href="https://steemit.com/travel/@marinauzelac/seine-and-katanec-tour-film-part-i-steemit-exclusive">Here's the first part if you missed it!</a><br>
So... we ended the first part after the crazy gig in Tomislavgrad.<br>
And of we go to Dubrovnik!<br>

<strong>The road to Dubrovnik trough the brutal mountains of Herzegovina<br>

We searched for the fastest route from Tomislavgrad to Dubrovnik, and google maps gave us this map, through the mountain chain of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinaric_Alps">The Dinaric Alps (Dinarides)</a><br>

Sure, it was the fastest route, but no one knew it would be at more than 2000 meters (more than 6500 ft) and that we were going to be literally above the clouds at some point. Also I have to add, that when we started to go up the road in the mountains, that whole way until the border (and it's not a short drive), we maybe saw just couple of cars. &nbsp;We joked around that if we wanted to ditch a body this would be the perfect place. Hell, if we wanted to ditch 50 bodies one by one at the same time no one would probably see us and nobody would ever find them. Ever.<br>

At same point of the road we figured out that something is off (beside, well, everything about the road),<br>
namely, google maps was leading us to this border in the heart of the mountain, in the middle of nowhere.<br>
As we were approaching, we thought that this is the border for drug lords and gun smugglers, and it wasn't so far from the truth. At the border was just this one officer (one, that's it), and he looked at us really suspicious (seven of us driving in a van with Croatian plates), and told us that we needed a pass to o through the border, and that it's not for civilians.<br>

So, we turned around, and off we go to another border passing in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neum">Neum</a>.<br>
Luckily it was really not a big detour, and we thought we're going to be just in time for sound check in Dubrovnik. Well... the adventure was not yet ending. At the border passing in Neum, the police asked us to come out of the van, take our stuff and then searched us as well as the van. They were not really aggressive and stubborn to find something, but it was not pleasant. We thought that maybe the officer from that god forsaken border in the mountains called them to check us out, because we looked suspicious. And well, who could blame him, we did try to pass THAT border with THIS van. :D &nbsp;&nbsp;<br>

<strong>FINALLY DUBROVNIK<br>

</strong>We really wanted to see Dubrovnik, but the luck left us. The whole time it was raining, from when we entered the city until we left the next day. You will see in the film, that I joked around with a montage sequence with Game of Thrones music, (as most of you probably know the series was shot in Dubrovnik) I really couldn't resist.<br>

The concert was held in <strong>Marin Držić Theatre, </strong>&nbsp;named after the famous Dubrovnik-born comedy writer of the Renaissance period (born in Dubrovnik in 1508, died in Venice in 1567).<br>
Although there was not a lot of people in the crowd, the concert was amazing.<br>
In the picture bellow is Groba, bass player from band Seine, standing on the stage of the theater at closing time so you could see the whole place with lights on.<br>

Definitely summer! And definitely coast!  Dubrovnik is the top destination but it's loaded with tourists most time of the year, so if you like something more peaceful but still popular, go to island Hvar or Korčula :)
