After what was a quiet open to go to the US equity markets, the North Korea threat to shoot down US Aircraft caused a sharp and sudden drop with regard to stocks.
 
The North Korean threat also caused a sharp reversal with the price action of gold and silver, which were both under pressure at the open.

The US dollar as well responded positively, putting on a nice gain as I’m writing this article.

If the on-going “by the dip” mentality once again prevails in what seems as a Teflon market, then this downward move in equities would once again be a buying opportunity.

For the time being I still believe that every single time that this market drops is buying opportunity. The simple fact is that the Federal Reserve will continue to have the back of this market for the foreseeable future.

What do you think about oil strength Greg? The dollar has been falling and now oil shows some strength? Which is stronger oil or the dollar or do they still walk hand and hand? Is it possible we could see oil go up while the dollar goes down?
