It seems to me that the massive altcoin surge in January 2018 is ample proof of that despite the subsequent crash. Bitcoin itself is still at a very early stage. The long-term trend is for Bitcoin dominance to go down ever since the first altcoins were launched. That said, I believe Bitcoin will always remain the largest market cap coin. ---- Please follow and support @coingecko.
