In Tampere Now

My wife has a pile of papers and tests to correct. My daughter said she missed her grandparents. The two of us drove to Tampere to visit my parents for the weekend. We drove via Hämeenlinna and we took a few shots of the castle.

<i>Hämeen linna, a 700-year-old castle from which the historical province of Tavastia of the Kingdom of Sweden was governed. The town of Hämeenlinna (pop. 80,000) still has a garrison and some national government offices. The <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armoured_Brigade_(Finland)">Armoured Brigade</a> is garrisoned about north 10 km of the town centre.</i>

<i>This one was shot by my daughter. The golden hour and the motorway offered such good photo opportunities that it hurt that I couldn't take advantage of them. But we were doing 120 km/h, which made me reluctant to take any risks.</i>

I answered your question a little too hastily. The tree picture was taken about 1 km to the south of the picture I took next to the castle in March. This one was taken right next to the town centre.
