Today was the first day when it was even remotely necessary to push snow from the driveway and brush it off the doorstep. I welcome the snow because it alleviates the darkness even a little bit. The length of day was seven minutes shy of six hours today. The sun set at five past three pm. I took the following photos with my phone. This darkness is an impediment to photography. There should be more photo opportunities in February when the days are longer and there's is more light and snow on the ground.

Only 3 cm of it. But more is underway. It's a much bigger job to keep the driveway clear of snow when there is 15 cm of it or more and it's wet.
