Niemi Boat Harbour - Boats

I also photographed boats in the boat harbour yesterday.

Is this a hydrofoil? The structures in the front on the bottom look like those of a hydrofoil. I've never seen this operational in Lake Vesijärvi. It would take about half an hour for a hydrofoil to cover the 25 km or so between Lahti and Vääksy in the north where there is a channel between Vesijärvi and Päijänne, the second largest lake in the country that extends about 120 km to the north all the way up to where there are famous Steemians.

I wanted to go to Kahvisaari, an island about 100 m from the shore. That bridge is in the beginning of a causeway leading to the island.

On the island, there is a building that looks like a cafeteria but I'm not sure it is open to the public. The local paddling club is based on the island.

The district of Niemi is behind those waters.

These are incredible photos!! He winter scenes are very strange without blue sky or sunshine! Snow everywhere, it looks very cold.
