Cannabis is said to be medicinal, and many people consumes this plants with its varieties of strains, indica, hybrid, sativa all alike.

Cannabis, also known as marijuana among other names like weeds, dope, kush, is a psychoactive drug from the Cannabis plant used for medical or recreational purposes.

illegal in most countries and legal in few countries, the cannabis plant is used and consumed by millions of people in the world, while few uses this as a medical purpose many are in for the fun and the recreational purposes.

but how bad can a recreational fun filled plant go in Nigeria? 

This has brought about the massive abuse in so many countries like Nigeria today where its being used to boost criminal activities instead of the norm ways in which people use it for.

The use of Cannabis in Nigeria is illegal  and you could always be penalized on the act if caught by the law agencies but today in the country and in the whole of West Africa, Nigerians are the major source of West African-grown cannabis.

The cultivation of cannabis became popular during the 1960s and this has been a major concern for the nation thereby making it a public issue in Nigeria after its being abuse by **individuals and psychiatric patients**. 

Many Nigerians consumed this plants and even underage teens below eighteen has taken into smoking cannabis as a tool to motivate or foster their activities for the day, 
ranked world's eight highest consumer of cannabis Nigerians are abusive towards this plant.

This plant are even more consumed and abused by military men, and the funny funny thing about the Nigeria uniform men is that they are made to arrest abusers of cannabis but ironically they abuse more of this plants than the people they are arresting, 
***During the early 1970s, the use of cannabis became common among soldiers who abused it in order to suppress timidity**

Criminals abuse and use cannabis on a daily to perform their daily biding as they said it adds more confidence and heighten the cerebrum membranes to act and think fast. 
the cannabis is said to be used more by thugs/touts and after consuming this plants, the effects makes them even more fierce than they previously were.

Because of the high consumption and abuse the cannabis plants undergoes and face in the Nigeria territory, many people believe every user does one or two illegal act to give them confidence and motivation, and the medicinal value has since been gone, doctors in Nigeria can't recommend it to a patients as the medicinal value has been tarnished  and removed from the plant in Nigeria. every smoker is in fact as evil as the 9/11 blast  - ~~The daily abuse~~
sorry!!!! **the seconds** abuse has made everyone see smokers an associated to a gang. 

This days a boy of sixteen is an habitual  smoker and can't do his daily activities with out first taking the drugs, teens are so addicted to this psychoactive drug and its a big problem the Nigerian youths are facing. 

### Use cannabis for a better purpose and stop abusing this precious plant that has a higher medicinal value to cure many things.
