The main goal of my husband and I's vacation this week was staying in a cabin isolated in the mountains of Tennessee. Pigeon Forge, TN is a very touristy place but is is also next to a national park. The Great Smokey Mountains National park is high up in the mountains and very beautiful. Since it is autumn and the trees are lots of bright reds, yellow, and oranges we figured it would be a beautiful time to stay in a cabin in the woods. *Boy were we wrong! We planned our trip a month ago. We had no idea monsoon rains would move in on the days we were suppose to be in the cabin. The weather was terrible and wet and cold.* ## At least the cabin was beautiful  Little Rabbit had plenty of space to run around. She was so happy to be free of the car after a long drive. # A Nice Kitchen For Cooking  I brought duck eggs, grits, and english muffins for breakfast. Little Rabbit loves grits so they are the perfect easy breakfast for her along with some scrambled eggs. # Upstairs  The house had one big bedroom downstairs, a pull out couch in the living room, and two small beds hidden in a loft room. The upstairs was designed more for youngsters and had a pool table, cute little beds hidden in the "V" shape of the roof, board games, and VHS Disney movies.  My husband and I played pool after Little Rabbit fell asleep. I beat him twice and I hadn't played since high school. Little Rabbit eventually discovered the pool table and loves stealing the balls and throwing them in the trash can.   # Outdoor Hot Tub  This is my most favorite place ever. I'd never been in a hot tub before. It was so cold outisde but the hot tub was cranked up to 104 degrees. I ditched my husband and Little Rabbit and sat in the hot tub for two hours. It was heavenly. The hot tub was placed so that you could look back at the house and look up at those beautiful windows in the previous picture. The sky was gray and dreary but it was so peaceful out there. There were no people around. I leaned back and let the jets hit my sore back as I looked up at the sky. Autumn leaves were falling all around me. I knew the air felt cold but inside the water I was toasty warm. I haven't been that relaxed in years. Afterwards my husband and I hung out and watched some TV with Little Rabbit until she fell asleep. She was so fussy from us forgetting to get milk and not being able to leave to get some. After she was out we played pool and watched Overboard then went to bed. For the most part our vacation was pretty bad. The rain was so horrible and stopped almost all of our plans. At least we got one good evening in the cabin. I'm so glad I got hot tub time to myself. It's not often I get to be alone without Little Rabbit and my husband knew I needed some time to myself. It was nice of him to hang out with her while I went off on my own. I'm a mom. It's so hard to turn off my mom brain. This was a rare occasion where I got to be selfish and enjoy something without worrying about my daughter every second. Now if I could become rich and buy a hot tub to put at my house we'd live a perfect life. <center></center>

That looks like a great place to stay for some cold weather. The fireplace looks to be in a bit of an odd spot, though! The hot tub would be amazing, too! Up here in the frigid north, we use saunas. My dad actually built his own sauna a few years ago, and my parents will go out there in -40ΒΊ, then run back to the house.

I always thought people were nuts to use a sauna or hot tub in the freezing cold until now. That hot tub was pretty awesome. I love hot baths and the contrast of the cold to hot was really nice for my sore back and feet.
