@marxrab (Marx the rabbit), @kiwideb, @jamal.jeje, and @lahvista sat around a table. Lahvista, aka Madam Celeste, was a psychic affiliated with the Steemit Bureau of Investigation and friend of Kiwideb. It was the strangest meeting Marx had ever been to. Madam Celeste sat with her head tilted back, her eyes closed, and her hands on a crystal ball. She was consulting the spirits to see if anyone knew anything about the missing eggs. In particular, she was talking to a ghost named Paul who was a good friend of hers.

Madam Celeste had been consulting the spirits for over an hour as the rest of the group sat silently waiting. The room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Jamal.jeje had just started to nod off to sleep when Madam Celeste sprung up from her chair yelling "I know who is taking the eggs!" Jamal.jeje was so surprised he fell off his chair to the floor.

Marx and Kiwideb also jumped up in excitement. Madam Celeste sat back down and calmly began telling her audience...

"*I have spoken to Paul and he consulted the other spirits. The spirits say that Marx is the key to they mystery. She knows one of the egg thieves. Marx fired this individual from the Steemit Diner. They are disgruntled because they never received a paycheck the spirits said. Paul described the suspect as a very large lizard...specifically, a Komodo dragon.*"

Marx's ears perked up. She did have an employee a year earlier who was a Komodo dragon named Randy. Randy was a horrible employee and worked as a busboy clearing tables and washing dishes. He loved eggs and would eat them raw, in the shell. Every day that the restaurant received a new shipment of fresh eggs, Randy could be found snacking on them in the walk-in fridge. Marx had to scold the dragon and docked his pay for the eggs he ate. Randy was clumsy and broke dishes and took lots of breaks. Marx finally fired him after he threw an after hours party at the Steemit Diner without Marx's permission. The party got out of control and there was over $1000 damage. Marx docked his final paycheck to help cover the damages. Randy was ticked off about that but it was the only way the rabbit agreed to not involve the police and courts.

So Randy was robbing people of their eggs?  He wasn't that big of a dragon to need thousands and thousands of eggs to eat. Marx wondered what could Randy want with eggs from an entire city?

Detective Pinkerton and his friend, SBI agent @ralk98 arrived back to @alaskahippie's home. The two had a long discussion and planning session back at Pinkerton's office. Detective Pinkerton felt he had a good idea who was behind the egg thefts. @elemenya's eye witness account on the bus of a green skinned man and a human man discussing the egg thefts was a huge clue along with the footprints outside Alaskahippie's home. 

Marx had called while @ralk98 and he were planning and confirmed his suspicions. Randy the Komodo dragon was  well known to the Steemit City police department. He had been arrested repeatedly for breaking-and-entering and theft. He had a partner, Julius, a human. Both were horrible thieves. They were clumsy and were rarely successful. Stealing eggs was weird for them. They only targeted money and other valuables...not eggs. Komodo dragons eat eggs but Pinkerton was certain he would never need to eat every egg in Steemit City. It was a confusing case. Two clumsy thieves, stealing thousands and thousands of eggs....Why? And where were they hiding them?

That last question was why Detective Pinkerton and Ralk98 were back in the north. They were preparing to follow the lizard tracks left in the snow outside Alaskahippie's house. Giving the Detective a thumbs up, Ralk98 was ready to start. Both bundled up in warm coats and winter boots, they began walking to see where the tracks in the snow led. 

The footprints went into the woods and up and down hills. It started to snow and slowly the footprints began to fade. Pinkerton and Ralk98 were afraid they would lose the trail as the snow began to fall harder and harder. Walking through some thick brush and climbing a hill, the two were greeted by an unexpected sight. On the other side of the hill they saw a tower. It was very tall and had red bricks on the outside. It was surrounded by rocks and what looked like a cave leadind underneath a hill. The footprints headed straight for the tower.

Pinkerton and Ralk98 looked at one another...What was this place? Why was there a tower out in the middle of nowhere in the snowy north?
