Let me take you to Australia today, exactly to the north-western region coastal region of Ningaloo reef. The Ningaloo coast is a World Heritage side and hosts one of the longest coral reefs worldwide, which is unless most other coral reefs located very close to the shore. This makes it a paradise for snorkelers since you won't need expensive diving equipment to experience the magnificent underwater world.

The reef and the surrounding Ningaloo Marine Nationalpark are about 1.200 kilometer north of Perth, so it will take quite some time to make the trip to get there. But it is definitely worth all the hassle. 

I spend about a week at one of the very remote and basic campgrounds where all you can find is a table and a dunny, as the Ozzies would call an outhouse. Since it never get's cold in that area all we needed was  a tent, where I also took off the outer cover and only kept the net cover to protect me from mosquitos or spiders.

Not only the underwater world is amazing the whole surrounding is a great area of untouched and unspoiled nature where you can make encounters with a variety of Australian wildlife.


I can only heavily recommend this exceptional place, you might need to get a little out of your usual ways but you will be highly rewarded with a lifetime experience you will never forget.

### Es ist wieder einmal Zeit für meinen Reiseblog BEAUTIFUL PLANET.

Im heutigen Teil nehme ich euch mit nach Australien, genauer gesagt in die Ningaloo-Region im Nordwesten des Kontinents. Die Ningaloo-Küste ist Weltkulturerbe und bietet eines der längsten Korallenriffe der Welt. Da dieses Riff auch noch super nah an der Küste dran liegt,  ist es ein Paradies für Schnorchler, weil man keine teure Ausrüstung wie beim Tauchen braucht, um die prachtvolle Unterwasserwelt zu geniessen.

Das Riff und der es umgebende Ningaloo Marine Nationalpark liegen ungefähr 1.200 Kilometer nördlich von Perth, dass ist natürlich eine ganz ordentliche Wegstrecke, die man hinter sich bringen muss. Wir haben 2 Übernachtungen eingelegt, auch unterwegs gibt es ne Menge zu sehen und man hat es eigentlich auch gar nicht eilig irgendwo anzukommen. In Australien ist halt der Weg das Ziel.

Ich habe eine Woche im Nationalpark verbracht, auf einem sehr abgelegenen Campingplatz wo man außer viel Natur nur noch einen Tisch und ein Plumpsklo finden konnte. Mehr brauchten wir aber auch nicht, um die Zeit hier zu geniessen.
Es wird in dieser Gegend auch nie kalt, so dass ich vom meinem Zelt die äußere Plane abmachen konnte und durch das Fliegennetz beim Einschlafen den ungetrübten Sternenhimmel betrachten konnte.

Die ganze Gegend bietet außer der großartigen Unterwasserwelt noch viel mehr fast unberührte Natur und es gibt viele Möglichkeiten mit der einheimischen Tierwelt Kontakt aufzunehmen. 

Ich kann diesen Flecken Erde nur aufs wärmste empfehlen, es braucht natürlich ein bisschen um hierher zu kommen, aber ihr werdet mit einem einmaligem Erlebnis belohnt.

_our campground, on the very right sight you can see the dunny und in the middle the only tree for a few kilometers which gives same shade for the only table around_

_the beach is very stony but the water is amazingly clear and perfect for snorkeling and experiencing the world that lays unter the water surface_

_and there is always some time to relax and to try if you are able to catch your dinner by yourself_

_when we explored the surrounding area we found some creek that opened the view to some different great scenery_

_but the cliffs also show the red color which is so typical for Australian rocks_

_together with the ocean you will find some stunning panoramas_

_and don't forget to become friendly with the locals_

_and also some kangaroo was curious what we were doing out there_

_around dusk time more and more kangaroos and wallabies will show up and enjoy the scenery themselves_

_the sunset puts the whole area in some very cozy and warming red light,  that's the kind of atmosphere I always had in mind when I was dreaming of moving to Australia as a teenager_

_and yes, nothing is complete with some pictures of the sinking sun beyond the horizon_

_you are at the end of the world, but the place couldn't be much more lovely_

_and you know the next day will provide you the same amazing scenic beauty that makes you wish you never had to leave from here_
