Hello and welcome to another Filmmaker’s diary! 28/10/2019 https://cdn.pixabay.com/photo/2016/09/29/03/34/photographer-1702074_960_720.jpg It has been a long time since my last update. A lot has happened since. #1 So... as per that video I was making for my friend the painter: eventually it did got uploaded and I had to finish it and edit it completely in the middle of my holidays... that did not pan out too well with my girlfriend... But it was done, and the reaction was pretty good. My friend loved it and the mayor's dude as well... My main goal with this video was to start getting gigs from the mayor's office ... that hasn't pan out that well yet. But he said that for November they would get a new budget and I might get in then. He even repeated to other people how much he loved my video and how he wanted to hire me. So I think tomorrow is time for a little email. Also need to update my website and need to "ask" him to put the mayor's office in the references. #2) My main goals/ vision for the video making business was to get the mayor's gig and do a awesome video for this guy the local business guru and having him share it with his email list... This hasn't panned so well either... basically I was hired to do photos... and did not get a chance to make a great video. I still manage to make a 1min video... but don't think it will have the effect and be shared like I wanted... but it is ok... it is a long term positive relationship with the guru... and I've had some ideas to reach some of the people who follow him with adds and so on. #3) . Been writing on and off... haven't missed a day for a week now. Very important, since it is the only activity that is 100% what I want to do. Unlike all this marketing...and so on. #4) Today I've filmed 3 videos to use as marketing for the video companies and send them to my email list. This week I had blocked time to work a few hours each day on the "travel video" where I live... and yes... today and apparently all week Had ups and downs during this time. Some doubts and so on... been working so hard for so long and still things are not panning out. I haven't been working on any narrative film... time is passing by, finances are not good at all right now... But it is ok.
