With property letting shifting with the times, holiday rentals have become much easier with online bookings and management between people. Grabbing a short stay apartment or even a whole house is not unheard of anymore. This is probably the closest thing to opt for if wanting larger spaces with an independent style of living. 

Many are choosing the Airbnb route as it offers large cost savings with greater versatility in both location, space and availability. Being independent can be a little troublesome for some as it may mean packing a little extra but in many cases it can pay off. Travelling at peak times sees a soaring increase in price and choosing the self-catered option can give greater choice in those congested times of travel. Feeling comfortable and getting that homely feel can make a stay all the more enjoyable.
