<center>Good morning, Steemit! I had a little free time this morning since I don't have to go to work until an hour and a half later than I'm usually scheduled. So, coffee and Steem time for me! :D <br> Here are some photos from our most recent hike on part of the Ozark Trail outside of Winona, MO with @mikeyatez and @adrianecastaneda. At some point, I got a smudge on my camera lens (probably from sunscreen and/or sweat) so please excuse the poor image quality in some of these. I'm just happy to share our experience :)  *We begin the hike next to this pretty little lake*     *Crossing the "bridge"*  *Then we hike up and around the bluff alongside this spring-fed creek*  *I've been hiking around in the woods since I was a kid, but I'm still completely ignorant when it comes to identifying most plant life. @hethur240: HELP!!! ;)*   *It's much steeper than it looks*   *Time to cross another bridge*  *Into the valley of bluebells, where we stopped to do a little mushroom hunting*  *Morel mushrooms are known to grow on the south-facing side of certain kinds of trees. Still looking....*    *SCORE!!!*     *Back to the trail*  *This little dude has had a haircut since then, but he's so funny when he's all fluffy and gets his little legs wet*  *And finally, we made it to the picnic table. The view is literally breathtaking. It's a pretty intense hike to the top of this bluff, but the view is so worth it*     *You can still see some of the aftermath of the flood of 2017 where the roaring water knocked down everything in its path*     *And right back to where we started!* Happy trails!!! ;) Thanks for checking out my photos. Awesome! It looks so beautiful there! I haven't been. Bash is such a good dog. I love how he follows right along the trail behind them and i love seeing him on those logs. Hehehe. I am pretty sure that one plant is some sort of fern.

Oh man, he loves it! He knows when we’re getting ready to go somewhere fun and turns around in circles and does his little happy dance :) And I think you’re right about that being a fern. Now that you mention it, Jason had a picture of one from a different trip and I think that’s what heather told him it was too.

The fern is likely a Fiddle Head and the red flowers are on Red umm...Buckeye? Something like that. They're understory trees.
